By installing dental implants, you will be able to get your smile back and solve any functional problems that can cause discomfort.
Implantology and the reconstruction of facial bones are widespread procedures. They involve replacing missing dental structures with a small device that is placed inside the bone of the upper or lower jaw and that holds an artificial tooth. This not only relieves discomfort and prevents new problems, it will help you smile confidently again.
Type of procedure
Surgery with local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
1 to 5 days.
1 to 3-hr operation.
Thanks to implants, you will smile again with no problems whatsoever. Your teeth will be fully functional and healthy again, and your ability to chew, speak and breathe will improve.
Are you the ideal candidate?
People who undergo this procedure are those who have experienced some kind of tooth loss. If you are in good overall health and have realistic expectations, you are a good candidate. The implant will improve your smile and your health and boost your self-confidence. Think about what you want to accomplish and talk it over with our surgeons.
Before the surgery, we will have to conduct a detailed study of your mouth and bite to determine the best possible way to insert the implants in the bone. At the end of this process, we will proceed with the surgery, which, based on your needs, may involve the regeneration of alveolar or basal bones depending on how much time has elapsed since the tooth loss. The implants are precisely installed using computer-generated surgical guides and take 2 to 6 months to bind perfectly to the bone. This is an outpatient procedure done at one of our hospital centres, and usually lasts 1 to 3 hours.
After surgery it is normal to feel fatigue and some discomfort, but this can be easily remedied and controlled. You will also feel slight swelling in the affected area that will disappear gradually. You will receive instructions along with a modified diet, as well as a schedule for returning to your normal diet.
Back to normal
After the procedure, and based on your level of activity and the complexity of the operation, you will be able to resume your normal routine. Our team will determine when and how often to schedule follow-up visits. You will be able to go back to work 1 to 5 days after surgery.
With this procedure you will once again have healthy, functioning teeth. You will be able to chew, speak and breathe normally, and you will smile again with no problems whatsoever. The implants will have a very positive effect on various aspects of your life.
Complications are infrequent and tend not to be serious. To minimise the risk, it is essential that you follow our surgeons’ instructions both before and after the operation. Our team will closely monitor your progress throughout the entire process.
